Former Arsenal player Samir Nasri has advised Kylian Mbappe to remain at Paris Saint-Germain and reject a potential move to Real Madrid this summer. Nasri believes Mbappe should focus on staying with his local club rather than pursuing the Champions League with Real Madrid.
Speaking to French daily Journal du Dimanche, Nasri said that PSG is Mbappe’s local club and that he, in a similar situation, would have stayed at his former club, Marseille if they were owned by Qatar. He urged Mbappe to be the “king in your village.”
Mbappe’s contract with PSG is set to expire at the end of the season, and he has confirmed he won’t renew it. Reports suggest he might forgo a €100 million bonus to secure a free transfer to Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappe addressed his Real Madrid aspirations, stating that he remains open to a future move away from PSG despite signing a new three-year contract. He highlighted the importance of honesty and maintaining a good relationship. He also stressed his focus on the game during the season.
In addition to Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea have shown interest in Mbappe, but he rejected a move to Al-Hilal in the summer.
The situation has sparked a prolonged transfer tussle between Mbappe, PSG, and Real Madrid. Nasri’s advice holds significance, as he considers Mbappe one of the world’s best players and believes PSG would face challenges replacing him.
Contrary to reports of an agreement between Mbappe and Real Madrid, the club issued an official statement denying any negotiations with PSG, categorically labeling the information as false.
