According to the latest reports, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Juventus, the three remaining European Super League (ESL) rebels, will relaunch their project this week, promising to drop the original proposal, in what is shaping up to be yet another direct attack on Uefa’s preeminence in European football.

It won’t be a closed store any longer. Instead, like the UEFA Champions League, clubs will be able to qualify for the competition.

Andrea Agnelli, the president of Juventus, is likely to propose the new Super League proposal during a sports industry summit next week.

The Super League concept is dead, according to UEFA, and six English clubs (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur) have accepted fines for even trying to join in the first place.

The three “rebel” clubs are attempting to put together a better proposal that will seek to be more fair, as well as promising to promote stronger clubs in European cities where they may be lacking, such as Dublin.
